Date: 17/09/2018 - 18/09/2018
Venue: Bournemouth International Centre
For the 33rd Annual BACCN Conference, we're going to the Beach! On 17 & 18 September 2018, BACCN will be welcoming the UK’s critical care nurses to Bournemouth. This lovely seaside town is surprisingly accessible, just a 30-minute train journey direct from Southampton Airport and less than two hours from London city centre by train.
The conference title is “Sustainability in Excellence: The Future of Critical Care” and BACCN have secured some fascinating keynotes who can discuss themes on this essential topic. This title is extremely timely given the ever-increasing demand on the NHS coupled with a decrease in financial and political support. In the future, it is going to be incumbent on frontline staff to make do, to make things happen and to ensure that our patients continue to receive the excellence in critical care that we all strive for in our daily roles.
There will be a variety of sessions including oral presentations, posters, workshops and simulation labs, all within the following themes:
• Developing New Roles & Ways of Working
• Building Resilience within Critical Care Nursing
• Education & Training
• The role of Research Nurses and Nursing Research within Critical Care
• Patient & Family Involvement within Critical Care
• Quality Improvement Projects with a focus on Prevention
