Moral Courage: Meeting the Challenges of a Contemporary Healthcare System

BACCN Conference 2019: "Moral Courage: Meeting the Challenges of a Contemporary Healthcare System”

Date: 16/09/2019 - 17/09/2019

Venue: Edinburgh International Conference Centre

The 34th Annual BACCN Conference will take place on 16 & 17 September 2019 and we're excited to be welcoming the UK’s critical care nurses to the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh.

As ever, we have a fantastic line-up of Keynotes lined up who will speak to us on topics closely related to the conference theme of "Moral Courage". We're delighted to already be able to announce the first of these:

• The team from Salisbury District Hospital who were involved in the nerve agent attack in 2018 -their staff will discuss both the clinical approach and the psychological impact on staff and how they managed it.

• Christie Watson, an NHS nurse for twenty years, is the author of The Language of Kindness, the Waterstones Non-Fiction Book of the Month choice for January 2019. She'll join us to share her views on our conference theme of Moral Courage.

• Theresa Shaw, outgoing CEO of the Foundation of Nursing Studies who'll share her insights on her time at FoNS and her thoughts on the nursing profession as a whole.
