From 1 April 2018, pre-hospital arrests are no longer included in the NCAA scope, which is now as follows:
Any resuscitation event commencing in-hospital where an individual receives chest compression(s) and/or defibrillation and is attended by the hospital-based resuscitation team (or equivalent) in response to a 2222 call.
To provide some clarity around what is and what is not classed as a pre-hospital arrest, and whether or not you should record a team visit record for an event, the NCAA Team have created the flowchart below which is
available to download in PDF format.
If you have any questions or comments, please
