This work is underpinned by our values and commitments:

Our values:

Rigorous – applying rigour in all we do

Collaborative – listening and working together to reach common goals

Innovative – seeking, developing and supporting new ideas

Integrity – adhering to ethical and transparent working principles

Our commitments:

Raised hands

Involving patients, family members, and members of the public in our work is a very important part of what we do. We value the contributions they make through their experiences and knowledge. The purpose of this involvement is to improve the quality and relevance of our work. We aim to increase the patient and public involvement within our organisation by strengthening our wider strategy and ensuring the voices of those directly impacted by intensive care are represented in each area.

If you are a former patient, family member or member of the public and you are interested in joining our network please register your interest here and we will contact you with more information.

Scales

We embed EDI in all that we do, in both our research and audit activities. EDI is also embraced across the wider organisation – both strategically and culturally.

We continue to grow and learn as an organisation and build upon our efforts in incorporating EDI into our work.

Earth held in a hand

We recognise that we have an impact on the environment and acknowledge the importance of climate change. We understand our responsibility to take steps to move towards net zero and continue to work towards this by following our environmental policy, working to our wider strategy, and collaborating with our employees to embed sustainability into our culture.
